Our presses aren’t run of the mill section presses. We know our market and have carefully specified each and every press to produce the products required by today’s marketeers: 48pp short grain press for paper saving undersize A4 derivatives, 64pp press for unusual paginations, 14pp, 18pp, 22pp etc. (as well as multiple copies of the more usual paginations) In line gluing and stitching for maximum productivity. CEO Chris Ingram and MD Tony Newbould received the Print Week Printer of the Year Award at a recent presentation held at the Grosvenor. Chris Ingram comments that this is the reward for several years of hard work and investment in the latest Print technology and people.
"Evidently not content with last year’s commendation, York Mailing has surged to the top in 2008 and can now claim its crown as PrintWeek’s Printing Company of the Year. No stranger to the winners’ podium, York Mailing was also PrintWeek’s Environmental Printer of the Year in 2006, so it comes as little surprise that the company continues to clean up the award categories. This year, the judges were wowed by the commercial printer’s commitment to continuous re-investment, which has seen annual spending double over the past two years. York’s strategy is paying dividends, as its £8m (26%) increase in annual turnover clearly demonstrates. And if that’s not enough to make you jealous, bear in mind that the company enjoys one of the healthiest pre-tax profit margins in the industry, at an impressive 9%."

The 48pp short grain press commissioned last year has performed so well that we’ve added a 64pp long grain version to our ever growing armoury of high quality, high speed web offset printing presses. Configured for maximum productivity of retail promotional print (rather than the traditional section work associated with big pagination presses) this will be the most productive web offset press in the UK for long run in line finished retail flyers.
